O Holy Night

O Holy Night has become one of my favorite Christmas Carols; from the backstory of how it was written to the hope it offers to those in hopelessness.
Below is a video of the song and the audio of the message to Bible Baptist Church. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining,

It is the night of the dear Savior’s birth.

Long lay the world in sin and error pining.

Till He appeared and the Soul felt its worth.

A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,

For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.

Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!

O night divine, the night when Christ was born.

A New And Glorious Morning

Lamentations 3:20-26 (NLT)
I will never forget this awful time, as I grieve over my loss. 21 Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: 22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. 23 Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. 24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” 25 The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. 26 So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the Lord.

What Does a New Day With Christ Bring?

  1. Exactly What You NEED.

Lamentations 3:24  “I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”

  1. The HOPE to Keep GOING.

Lamentations 3:25  “The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him…”

  • Live 40 days w/o food
  • 8 days w/o water
  • 4 min. w/o oxygen
  • Few seconds w/o hope.

Hebrews 10:23  “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.”

  1. The HELP You’re SEEKING.

Lamentations 3:26 “…it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”

  • Lazurus dead for 4 days—Jesus raised him from the dead.
  • Woman with an issue of blood for 12 years—healed.
  • 38 year old man—healed at pool

It’s amazing the difference one day can make!

Romans 13:11-12 “…The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here…”
